Paper by JLee: Modern Geometric Wedding Style Shoot

The wonderfully talented Elvira Kalviste contacted me last spring and asked if I wanted to be part of a styled shoot she was putting together. Styled shoots are usually coordinated by a designer (in this case, a photographer) who assembles a team of vendors (like me!) who work together to produce a cohesive photo shoot what will, hopefully, be published by other websites and blogs. The goal is to showcase your products and creativity at a unique and specific event that will increase your exposure. This shoot was picked up by the WellWed Blog last fall and it was really exciting to see the event and my work published online.

I immediately said yes to Elvira and started work on the items she needed from me to complete the shoot: menus, place cards and table numbers. She sent me a great Pinterest inspiration board for this modern, geometric inspired wedding. This board was the key to ensure all the vendors were on the same page graphically and creatively.

For the final menu design I created a 2-layer menu with triangle-shaped cutouts and watercolor washes printed on the bottom layer. The cutouts give the menu more dimension and echoes the overall geometric theme of the shoot. For the table numbers I printed watercolor numbers on a Octahedron template and easily folded the template into a 3D shape. Take a look at some of the gorgeous photos from Elvira Kalviste below and read more about the shoot here

See more photos from the event below. The cake, dresses, flowers and EVERYTHING was gorgeous. A big thanks to Elvira for letting me be part of it! Need menus or table numbers for your own upcoming wedding? Email me at paperbyjlee@gmail.com to get a custom order started!
